Labor Day Celebration In The USA With Amusing And Leisure

Labor Day is a national holiday in the USA but this holiday triggers history with mixed emotions. Unlike the other countries, the USA has a tradition to celebrate Labor Day. The Labor Day celebration begins on the first Monday of September which means anywhere from September 1 through September 7. This year it's September 6 in the U.S. and Canada. There are many stories behind Labor Day but it mainly emphasizes the labor movement from the past. The day is followed by the parade in New York City. It was the day of the people who tend to be known for joining the marched in the parade. The then President Grover Cleveland has initiated the holiday on Labor Day as a national holiday since 1896.

This is the celebration of workers to show our homage to their achievements, which originated during one of American labor history’s most miserable chapters.

In the late 1800s, at the height of the Industrial Revolution in the United States, the average workers worked 12-hour days and seven-day weeks with earning a fraction of their adult counterparts’ wages.

People of all ages often faced extremely unsafe working conditions, with insufficient access to fresh air, pure water, balanced food, sanitary facilities, and sufficient breaks. They are deprived of human rights.

Labor unions, which had first appeared in the late 18th century, grew more projecting and vocal. They began organizing protests by the mean of strikes and rallies against their poor conditions and all injustices.

Many of these events turned something violent in approach during this period, including the infamous Haymarket Riot of 1886, in which several  Americans in Chicago policemen and workers were killed. Others gave rise to longstanding traditions: On September 5, 1882, 10,000 workers took unpaid time off to march from City Hall to Union Square in New York City, holding the first Labor Day parade in U.S. history.

The day is decided to be the first Monday of September due to the conduction of the conference of the city of Knights of labor. And later after three years, it is regarded as the holiday it consistently took place on the same day. In the year 1884, it happened to be on Monday itself.

Until now, all the citizens take part in the parade in New York City along with other cities. Everyone out there craves appetizing food on this biggest day of the summer. Planning of the party starts from the past month only. Few menus can be loaded to the Labor Day celebration by the citizens of the USA.
